SARAH HILL MS LPC

“Can you remember who you were, before the world told you who you should be?”

-Charles Bukowski

Life has become a series of endless choices for you. Choices that take you closer to the person you think the world wants you to be, and away from who you are.

The idea that you want to belong somewhere, anywhere, has you tied up in knots. You crave the intimacy of someone getting you, just once, and at the same time, you understand that in order for that to happen you would have to be brave.

Like super brave.

Sometimes, late at night, you think to yourself, “if they knew the real me, they wouldn’t accept me.”

You feel invisible, unwanted, alone.

You’re starting to understand that in your efforts to achieve love and success you have become a hardened shell filled with anxiety, anger, and resentment.

I’m so glad you’re here. Welcome.

I’m Sarah and I help women just like you: sensitive souls filled with curiosity who have it within them to show up in the world again, and need the support to get there.

I help my clients by leading them on a path of improving self-worth, creating and sustaining healthy boundaries, and decreasing their anxiety, by equipping them with the necessary tools for connecting with themselves and others.

A lot of solutions for someone struggling with anxiety or low self-worth include things like coaching or therapy in a type of setting that is more of a one-size-fits-all. This can lead so many to feel isolated, misunderstood, or like they’re not making real progress. I know that your circumstances are unique, so every step we make is tailored to you, and always with an end goal in mind.

First, we examine the unhealthy dynamics that are causing the feelings of shame, overwhelm, and exhaustion you are experiencing. Then we work on the communication skills and behavior change that will be most effective for you. Through our work together, you’ll be empowered with the necessary skills and confidence you need to create deeper connections, restore your energy, and have more peace in your day to day life.

Have you tried therapy before?

Did you end up feeling more misunderstood, lonely and angry than when you walked in to begin with?

I hear you.

I also want you to consider that maybe you weren’t in the space to be able to really lean into those difficult emotions and circumstances that you’ve been through.

You are now.

Therapy isn’t a one-size-fits all type of service. Different times of your life need different therapists. The therapist that helped you move through your divorce may not be the one that helps you understand how to embrace your inner diva or elevate yourself without falling into the trap of imposter syndrome.

Therapy is a way to be deeply seen and understood while also demanding vulnerability and risk.

The presence of safety is paramount to growth occurring. Having a therapy space that opens you up to curiosity and open mindedness allows your inner critic to take a step back so that you create the sustainable change you want in your life.

I help you move through conflict and provide a container for what healthy boundaries are, while also teaching you tools that calm your nervous system. Through our work together, you’ll be empowered with the necessary skills and confidence you need to create deeper connections, restore your energy, and experience the calm your body is craving.

MY GUIDING PRINCIPLES

COMPASSION

Sharing in your pain and letting you know that you are not alone.

AUTHENTICITY

Nurturing a safe place where you can show up exactly as you are with no judgment.

HUMOR

Allows us to connect in a more meaningful way and also provides a re-frame for the situation you are experiencing.

TIME

Dedicating my most precious commodity in order to foster growth and transformational change in your life.

You’re not alone in this. Let’s take this journey together.

My training in improving self-worth, setting healthy boundaries, and calming anxiety means I have the necessary skills you need and deserve when healing yourself and your relationships. But at the end of the day, you want to know you’re with someone who “gets” what it means to be a sensitive, high-achieving, anxious female, right?

I get it because I live this experience myself. I know the shame that comes from not feeling good enough, feeling that I have to perform in order to have love, or wanting to avoid and hide myself from the world. So, when we work together, you won’t just get a trained therapist. You’ll get someone who truly understands what you’re going through.
